Free PDF Tools
Seven tools for moving PDF pages around: merge several files into one, split one into many, delete pages, rotate them, reorder them, read what is inside a file, or build a PDF out of images. All of it happens in this tab, so a contract or a bank statement never gets uploaded to anyone. These tools rearrange pages — there is no OCR here and no PDF-to-Word conversion.

Open toolWhich one do you actually need?
The eight tools split along one line: whether you are changing how many files you have, or changing what is inside one of them. Merge and split do the first. Reordering, deleting pages and rotating do the second, and none of them touch what is printed on a page. Images to PDF and Word to PDF make a document that did not exist before.
PDF info changes nothing at all, which is why it is worth opening first when something is wrong and you cannot say what. A file that prints with a margin, opens sideways or weighs forty megabytes is being specific about its problem, and the page count, page sizes, rotation flags and producer string usually name it faster than scrolling through the document does.
What this category will not do for you
None of these tools read the words on a page. There is no OCR, so a scanned contract stays a picture of a contract and nothing here will make it searchable. There is no PDF-to-Word either, and the reason is worth knowing: a PDF stores glyphs at coordinates rather than sentences, so "change this word" means rebuilding a layout that was never saved as one. Browser tools that claim to edit text are mostly drawing a white box over the old text and typing on top.
Shrinking a file is also somewhere else. A heavy PDF is almost always heavy because of the images inside it, so the image compressor before you build the document beats anything applied afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Do these PDF tools upload my file anywhere?
No. Every tool on this page runs inside the browser tab using the file you pick, and no copy is sent to a server. You can confirm it: open your browser developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any of them — there is no upload request. They also keep working with the internet disconnected once the page has loaded.
Can I edit the text inside a PDF with these tools?
No. A PDF records individual glyphs at fixed coordinates rather than editable sentences, so changing a word means rebuilding a layout the file never stored. These tools rearrange, remove and rotate whole pages, and leave the content of each page exactly as it was.
Why is my merged PDF bigger than the files that went into it?
Because merging copies each source document whole, including fonts. If two files both embed the same typeface, the merged file can carry it twice, and any unused objects in either original come along as well. The page content is not re-compressed during a merge, so nothing is lost and nothing is squeezed.
