Privacy Policy
What this site collects, what it does not, and what the advertising means in practice.
The short version
- The tools on this site process your files entirely in your browser. No file you open in a tool is ever uploaded, transmitted or stored.
- There are no user accounts, so no names, emails or passwords are collected.
- Google AdSense and Google Analytics both run here, and both set cookies. That is where third-party data collection happens, and you can opt out of the personalised part.
Information processed in your browser
Images, text and any other input you provide to a tool are processed locally using your browser's own capabilities. This data is never sent to any server, is not written to your device's storage, and is discarded the moment you close or reload the page. The site operator has no access to it and no ability to recover it.
This is true regardless of what else is on this page. Analytics and advertising see that a page was loaded; they never see what you typed into a tool or which file you opened.
Information collected automatically
Like essentially every website, the hosting provider records standard server log data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to diagnose faults, and are not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that log data. The site is operated from Argentina, which means data you send simply by requesting a page may be processed on Cloudflare servers outside your own country.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people find useful. It records things like which page you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, which browser and device you used, and which site or search sent you here.
- Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise a returning browser across a session.
- IP addresses are not stored. Google Analytics 4 discards them after deriving an approximate location, and this cannot be turned off or reversed.
- The data is aggregated. It is used to decide what to write next, not to build a profile of you, and it is never sold or passed to anyone.
- You can opt out entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using any browser or extension that blocks trackers. The site works identically either way.
- Google's own description of what it collects is in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Worth being straight about the tension here: the tools on this site are built specifically so that your files never reach a server, and then the site turns around and counts your visit with Google. Those are different things — the analytics sees that a page was viewed, never what you put into a tool — but if you would rather not be counted at all, the opt-out above works and nothing on the site degrades.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements.
- Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to you.
- To opt out of personalised advertising from other vendors, visit aboutads.info/choices or the NAI opt-out page.
- More detail is in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Consent in the EU, UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage are switched off by default when you arrive, using Google Consent Mode. Nothing is stored on your device until you give consent through the notice shown on your first visit, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the privacy settings link in that notice.
Visitors outside those regions are opted in by default, which is what the law in those places permits. The opt-out links above work regardless of where you are.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Because this site holds no user accounts and no database of visitors, there is in practice very little to act on — most requests of this kind need to be directed to Google, which controls the analytics and advertising data.
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. This site does not sell personal information. Advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA, and the Google Ads Settings link above is the way to opt out.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
